Product Details

These shorts are an excellent salvation against the cold. A warming addition under or on top of merino wool long johns, these can be worn either way. Warm up on the back of a motorbike, on a run and during winter activities. Feel soft against your skin.

Merino wool is naturally stretchy, and settles back to its original shape after use. The wool fibre has insulating air pockets that give the merino wool an excellent thermal ratio. Please choose your normal size, as the thermal properties of the product work best when it fits loosely to the body.

Merino wool silk's characteristics balance heat while wicking moisture away from the skin. It does not perspire or itch. The knit is made by Tam Silk in Kangasala. Mulesing-free merino wool yarn is purchased from Europe.

Note: Grey merino wool silk yarn may vary in shade. Please take this into account when ordering.

Wash & Care

  • Merino wool silk knit has been washed in production, so products made from it do not need to be washed before use.
  • Machine wash at 30c on a wool programme, inside out, with garments of the same colour.
  • The use of a wash bag is recommended.
  • Use a gentle neutral detergent for washing merino wool and silk.
  • Shape when damp, gently along the length.
  • Do not use a tumble dryer.
  • Air dry merino wool silk garments frequently and wash rarely.
  • Tam Silk recommends that when the garment enters the shelter, you prefer to wash it locally, for example with bile soap.
